I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way – things I had no words for. – Georgia O’Keeffe
One of the most amazing color combination pallets I have ever come across was from the Martha Stewart Collection that was made for KMart. Sounds strange at first, especially if you never saw the swatches. But if you did….Oh boy. Many color designers call them “exquisite”, and indeed they were. I foolishly decided that I would go out looking for a set, assuming I could find one. Impossible. They dont exist. I found some of the Sherwin William swatches. But not a single Kmart swatch. CAN YOU FIND THE KMART SWATCH SET?????????
Moving on. To a room I could never create with good intention, and yet, it is breathtaking. Of course, Martha.:
Love the enamel black doors here and the chandelier is what makes the whole thing come together:
Calm Moroccan/Manor style (vithouse).
Corals!! And that dark wood. Is really like a cherry color. creams and cherry corals (Corea Sotropa Design). This is another idea I love on a drab wall that you are just done with. You do floor to ceiling curtain panels. You can even hand a picture over it. It seems scary, but google it a bit……its really an easy fix that does so much.
I really love this next one. It reminds me of a house off the beaten path. And the colors and patterns are so beautiful together……
Im going to end with the virtually impossible. Two artists, both who studied decorative painting in Italy, Lili Nalovi and Jesko Willert, decided to cover their walls with rice paper and then paint them. Its freaking amazing. And fragile. And I adore the hanging navy blue skirted light cover. Damn.
These are so pretty! I am a big fan of yellow and gray, but never would have thought to add eggplant. SO pretty!
we are since recently on Facebook(Jesko Willert-site and on Lili Nalovi-Jesko Willert”site), can we find you on FB?
